The best ADHD planners for 2027, compared by someone who sells one
Yes, one of these is mine. I've put it last, listed what the others do better, and kept the prices in. If you read nothing else: the planner that survives January is the one with the fewest decisions per page.
What an ADHD planner has to get right
Read any thread on r/adhdwomen about planners and the same complaints come up in the same order. Too many sections, so the planner becomes another thing to manage. Nowhere to put the thought you had at 11pm, so it goes on a sticky note and dies. A streak or score that turns a skipped day into a small shame. And a layout designed for someone else's tidy handwriting.
So the criteria below are those four things, plus price and what it runs on. I've left out "aesthetics" because that's the part everyone can judge from a screenshot without my help.
The comparison
| Planner | Format | Price | Best at | Weak spot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Future ADHD | Digital PDF + printable | about AUD $23 | Community proof: 6,800+ reviews, a 2027 edition already out, made by someone with ADHD | Dense pages with a lot going on; the "cute" factor works for some and wears on others |
| Etsy "dark mode ADHD planner" (various sellers) | Digital PDF | $3–17 | Cheap, dark mode, hundreds of reviews on the top listings | Quality varies a lot between sellers; links often break in Notability; support is a message inbox |
| Notion ADHD templates (Seeker Society, Neuro Notion, Notion Avenue) | Notion workspace | $29–99 | Databases, recurring tasks, automation; great if you already live in Notion | Notion itself is the distraction for many ADHD users; nothing to write on with a stylus |
| Clever Fox | Paper | $25–35 | Goal-setting structure, physical, no battery | Undated but fixed page counts; the goals pages assume a January start and a plan |
| Passion Planner | Paper and digital | $20–40 | Long-running, well made, a 2027 digital version already shipping | Built around a "passion roadmap" that is a lot of reflection before you get to Monday |
| Three Things (this site) | Digital PDF, dated + undated, light + dark | $31, bundle $45 (launch prices $19 and $38 through October 10) | Three priorities a day, a brain-dump inbox one tap from every page, a done list, no streaks | New, so no reviews yet; no Android app-specific version; not printable except the calendars |
Prices as listed on each seller's site or store on September 19, 2026. Etsy prices swing with sales.
Future ADHD
If you want the safe choice, this is it. It has been around for years, it's made by someone with ADHD, and the volume of reviews means the bugs have been found. The 2027 edition is out. What I'd say against it is that the pages are busy. There is a lot of colour, a lot of sections, and if your problem is "too many decisions", the planner adds some.
The Etsy dark-mode planners
The top two or three listings for "ADHD digital planner" on Etsy have hundreds of reviews and cost less than lunch. For $4 you can find out whether a digital planner works for you at all, which is worth doing before spending $27 anywhere. Two cautions: Etsy has been flooded with near-identical planners since 2025, so the listing with the reviews and the one you receive may not match, and hyperlinks break in some apps because they're placed by hand in Canva or Keynote. Test the tabs in your app the day you buy.
Notion templates
Some of the most-sold ADHD "planners" are Notion workspaces, and the best ones (the Ultimate ADHD Life Planner has over 500 sales on Gumroad) are genuinely clever: recurring tasks, a dopamine menu that's a database, a brain dump that files itself. The catch is Notion. If opening Notion tends to end with you redesigning Notion, a template will not fix that. If you're disciplined in Notion already, these are a better fit than any PDF.
Paper: Clever Fox and Passion Planner
Paper has one advantage no app can match: it doesn't have notifications. Clever Fox is the goal-setting one; Passion Planner is the reflective one. Both assume you'll do the front-of-book exercises, which for a lot of ADHD adults is the part that never happens. If you go paper, skip to the weekly pages and don't feel bad about the roadmap.
Three Things
This is the one I make, so weigh what follows accordingly. It's a PDF for GoodNotes, Notability, Samsung Notes or any other PDF app, with 582 hyperlinked pages. Every day page has three lines at the top and that's the whole to-do list; everything else goes to a brain-dump inbox that's one tap from any page. There's a done list on every day, no streaks anywhere, and a meds-and-symptoms log you can show your clinician. It comes dated (December 2026 through 2027) and undated, in light and dark, landscape and portrait. It is generated from code rather than laid out by hand, which is why the links work and why the 2028 edition will be identical in structure.
What it doesn't have: reviews (it launched this month), a Notion version, stickers built into the pages (they're a separate sheet in the bundle), or the warmth of a hand-decorated planner. If you want the decoration, Future ADHD does it better.
Try before you decide: the 2027 calendar printables and the brain-dump sheet are free and use the same layout language as the planner.
How to choose in one minute
- You've never used a digital planner: buy a $4 Etsy one first and see if you open it after a week.
- You live in Notion and it works for you: a Notion template.
- You want the most-reviewed option and don't mind busy pages: Future ADHD.
- You want paper: Passion Planner, and skip the front section.
- Your last three planners died because there was too much on the page: Three Things.
